Cahokia Mounds Interpretive Center

City of the Sun introduces visitors to the prehistoric “city”of Cahokia, center of a cultural and trade network reaching from the Atlantic to Gulf coasts. These early people are most often known for the huge earthen pyramids found today throughout the region. At the end of the presentati on the 40’-wide screen rises to reveal a full-scale diorama of a recreated village. Audio and lighting changes throughout the diorama and the Museum are synchronized to the theater cycle and its dramatic reveal. DLP is currently producing a large-format high-definition video installation to open in the Center’s newly redesigned theater.
