A groundbreaking new Museum of the American Revolution will soon open, including signature experiences, object theaters, gallery features, and soundscapes produced by DLP. Revolution, the museum’s 15-minute introductory experience, sweeps visitors into a visceral encounter with a world-changing idea, engaging them in the passionate and turbulent ground out of which this unlikely revolution arose and continues to unfold today. Washington’s War Tent focuses on the 8 years General George Washington spent in the field with his soldiers, returning home only once over this period. Using multi-layered projections, the story culminates in a dramatic reveal of Washington’s tent. The power of this treasured artifact connects visitors to the legacy of the man and to a time when the future of the nation hung in the balance. Opened spring 2017.
